General security notice

- Bancogui.es (or bancogui.com)
- Bgnetplus.es (or bgnetplus.com)
- Ebgempresa.com (or ebgempresa.es)

Any information transferred from your computer to Banco Guipuzcoano’s Internet Platform goes through an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Protocol established by means of certificates issued by an authorised international certifying agency (Verisign Inc.)
This certificate guarantees that you have a genuine connection with BANCO GUIPUZCOANO and that the data is encrypted during transmission.
Internet access to our banking services
Banco Guipuzcoano provides two forms of authentication for the Internet access to our banking services:
- User name, PIN and password.
- User name: A code word identifying the person. Alphanumerical code between 6 and 10 characters with at least one letter.
- PIN: A secret code that, used together with the User Name, authenticates the identity of the person intending to access the bank via Internet. Alphanumerical code between 6 and 8 characters with at least one letter.
- Password: Secret code for performing banking operations. The password is only required to validate transactions and only 2 random characters from it will be requested, never the whole password. Alphanumerical code between 6 and 8 characters with at least one letter.
BANCO GUIPUZCOANO will only request your complete password when you activate the service or if you decide to change it. When signing to validate transactions, you will only be asked to fill in two random characters from your password.
- Digital certificate and corresponding PIN:
- Digital certificate: This is a digital document that enables the holder to guarantee his/her identity. BANCO GUIPUZCOANO provides it to you on a CD-ROM that must be inserted into the computer being used in order to log into our Internet banking service.
- PIN: Secret code that, used together with the digital certificate, authenticates the identity of the user and enables him/her to access Internet banking services and perform transactions. It must have between 4 and 8 characters.
When you sign up for either service, BANCO GUIPUZCOANO will provide you with single-use codes that you must modify the first time you log in for others that are easy to remember.
Additionally, Banco Guipuzcoano offers you its SMS text authentication service, consisting of an additional PIN that will be sent to your mobile phone for each previously-validated, outgoing-funds transaction. This must be entered into our system to verify the authenticity of the user performing the transaction.
